The article presents the history of the Kraków branch of the most important veteran organization of the Second Republic, whose members through their involvement in regaining independence exerted a great infl uence on the political history and shape of Poland, reborn after years of being partitioned. The organization initially focused on self-help activities, began to play an important political role after the May coup in 1926.
