Two cases of Legionnaire's disease caused byLegionella oakridgensis were diagnosed at the university hospital in Nantes, France. The two patients' isolates were identified by means of phenotyping and genotyping methods. Epidemiological investigations concluded that the first case was hospital acquired while the second case was considered community acquired.
