There are two accreditation bodies that perform practice reviews specific for radiation oncology: ACR/ASTRO and ACRO. The history and process/procedures for accreditation of these two organizations will be presented from both a Medical Physicist and Radiation Oncologist perspective. In addition, State activities for requiring accreditation will be discussed. Finally, requirements for Medical Physics reviewers will be outlined.
