Summary This case report describes the history, clinical findings, clinical pathology and diagnostic imaging of 2 cases of septic osteitis of the proximal sesamoid bones in foals. Treatment with doxycycline (10 mg/kg bwt per os b.i.d.) was successful in treating both of these cases.
