AT EDS, DIGITAL communications opened the floodgates of information. The challenge given Kate Horne and her colleagues was to dramatically improve access and usability. The solution was a multi‐layered “communications portfolio” linking information to business objectives. The key is an intranet “infoCentre” that organizes the content and design of Web sites. Other features include navigation templates, News Maker stories, the Abbreviations weekly e‐mail, and a Straight Talk site for communicating with executives.
