Students of German at the University School of the University of Wyoming initiated an exchange project with German students of English in Lingen‐Ems, West Germany. The purpose of the exchange was to explore the similarity of interests of German and American teenagers. The classes exchanged items of interest to teenagers, including posters, movie and hobby magazines, local newspapers, etc. The article also notes various ways in which student motivation was increased as a result of this project.
