Cardamine guatemalensis Al‐Shehbaz is described from Zacapa, Guatemala. Its features such as the perennial, scapose, rhizomatous habit and simple leaves are very rare among North American Brassicaceae. The distinguishing characters from other species of Cardamine are discussed.
