SUMMARY This second article, in a three‐part CE series on the preventions of infection in patients with chronic kidney disease, focuses on healthcare‐associated infections and blood borne viruses that are prevalent within the haemodialysis environment. It also informs the reader of the relevant infection and prevention precaution guidelines and their application within a haemodialysis setting.
