The superficial retinal vasculature can be directly viewed and assessed by using non‐invasive technologies such as photography and video recording. While single image capture provides only a snapshot in time, video capture allows for observation of vessel dynamics at rest and during stimulation. Changes in the retinal micro‐circulation have been shown to be useful markers of both systemic and ocular vascular conditions. This talk will provide some background on the technology and measurement principles of static and dynamic vessel analysis.
