of the European Reference Network for rare and low prevalent eye disorders (ERN‐EYE) will be presented. Rare eye diseases display major heterogeneity and represent the leading cause of visual impairment in children and young adults. Significant barriers remain for early diagnosis, patient management and research. ERN‐EYE has been created to improve diagnosis and management of patients with rare ocular disorders as well as to raise awareness, facilitate research and introduction of novel therapies.
