Our research is focused on the development of strategies to improve corneal endothelial graft survival. We are interested in improving the current treatments by optimising endothelial graft preparation techniques, shipping and delivery protocols. We are also interested in combining cultured endothelial cells with novel biomaterials to create tissue engineered biosynthetic grafts suitable for transplantation and have developed a useful ex vivo corneal model to test these grafts before future in vivo experiments.
