Teifi James discusses an investigation strategy explaining how to investigate patients presenting with uveitis and associated clinical problems. Starting with the history and the clinical examination he gives a logical and straightforward progression of investigations which are chosen according to the clinical situation. He will explain the wisdom of first doing simple investigations like dipstick testing of urine, chest X‐ray and Full Blood Count, but explain when and why it is appropriate to conduct more elaborate tests. Think before requesting any investigation – why am I doing this test?
