Summary The use of glaucoma drainage devices ( GDD ) has been a vital advancement in the management of patients with refractory glaucoma. However, GDD implantation can be difficult‐ due to either the disease pathology or scarring from previous surgery. The aim of this presentation will be to show examples of implanting GDD in eyes in which conventional GDD surgery is difficult. The second part of the presentation will be looking at approaches on how to manage eyes with uncontrolled intra‐ocular pressure even after glaucoma drainage device implantation.
