Summary Renal malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) is a rare, primary renal tumour. Imaging findings of renal MFH, including ultrasound, CT and MRI, have, however, been reported. As to the best of our knowledge 18 F‐FDG PET/CT imaging of renal MFH has not been previously reported, we present the CT and 18 F‐FDG PET/CT appearance of a pathologically proven primary renal MFH.
