Aim:  To create a simple practical teaching technique to aid cannulation skills. Materials:  A cannula and medical adhesive technique. Results:  A technique was created and described in this technical note. Conclusions:  The technique created could be used as a useful adjunct in teaching both students and health professionals on how to place an IV cannuala.
