Antibody‐mediated TRALI reduction strategies include the exclusion of high plasma volume blood components from risk donors or testing of these donors for leucocyte antibodies, i.e. HLA class I, HLA class II, and HNA antibodies. Recommendations for the detection of leucocyte antibodies have been made by the ISBT Working Party on Granulocyte Immunobiology.
