A bstract : The evidence linking firearms in the home to risk for suicide is reviewed. These data come from epidemiological, case‐control, quasiexperimental, and prospective studies. The convergent finding from this wide range of studies is that there is a strong relationship between firearms in the home and risk for suicide, most firmly established in the United States.
