A bstract : The use of natural gas hydrate (NGH) technology in stranded gas applications is presented in terms of a process description and a capital cost estimate. The cost estimated is based on a NGH hydrate slurry process developed in a joint industry project at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The slurry process is suitable for offshore production of oil and gas; for example, on a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit.
