Five new species of the genus Coenosia Meigen, namely C. subflaviseta, C. subgracilis , C. parva C. aurea, and C. zhooi , are described from the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, China. The type specimen of C. parva is kept in the Department of Biology, Shenyang Normal University, and the others are kept in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
