SUMMARY The isolation and characterisation of a bacteriophage specific to the recently described race 2 of the cherry strain of Pseudomonas morsprunorum in England is described. The phage was subsequently used in a survey of P. morsprunorum races in commercial orchards and on the cherry cultivars Napoleon and Roundel at East Mailing Research Station.
