Actinomycosis is a rare infection caused by different species of actinomycosis. We report a case of intra‐abdominal actinomycosis that presented with abdominal mass. The diagnosis was only made after surgical excision where preoperative computed tomography scan could not distinguish this inflammatory mass from the tumour. The patient was successfully treated with surgery and antibiotics. A literature search on cases reported in Hong Kong and China in the past 10 years was reviewed.
