As requested by the 1984 Council of the American College of Veterinary Radiology, each of the examiners in the 1984 certification oral examination was to publish two of the examination cases that he used in his particular part of the examination. The objective was to give those who were not participating in the examination some idea of the types of cases being used. The following two examples are not intended to be complete case presentations of interesting cases, but rather to show the radiographs that were used and to provide insight into the nature of the special procedures section of the 1984 oral examination. On the special procedures section, ten different types of special procedures were available for evaluation; each examinee was allowed to choose any eight for interpretation.
