Abstract – Corrosion products from five amalgams with different Cu‐ and Zn‐contents were investigated by X‐ray diffraction technique. Powdered amalgam samples were treated with 1 % NaCl‐solution for up to 1 month. SnO 2 , ZnSn(OH) 6 and CuSn(OH) 6 were detected.
