Pup counts of grey seals at Froan, Norway, during the period 1974 to 1987 are given. The counts indicate an increase in pup production from 1974 to 1983. The counts from 1985 to 1987 indicate a stagnation and possibly a decrease in production. This is probably due to culls at the breeding ground, particularly during the 1984 breeding season.
