Subjects Of the 65 patients included in the investigation, 45 were examined by psychologists at the psychiatric or neurosurgical departments of the University Hospital in Copenhagen. Testing was, for the most part, carried out or supervised, by the present authors (Andersen di Theilgaard). 33 patients were tested both preand postoperatively. In 5 cases postoperative testing could not be accomplished, while preoperative testing is lacking for 7 patients, although, for 3 of these, material derived from other departments afforded a basis for comparison.
