Cardiac lipoma is the commonest nonmyxomatous benign primary cardiac tumor. We report a case of lipoma arising from the anterolateral papillary muscle and presenting with a transient ischemic episode and a history of malignant melanoma. The lipoma was removed leaving the mitral apparatus intact.   (J Card Surg 2011;26:65‐66)
