EDITORIAL COMMENT: We accepted this short report for publication since the case will interest readers and our editorial committee considers that the treatment described was correct, Acyclovir and similar drugs are widely used in pregnancy for herpes simplex, and as stated in this paper there is clear benefit to the patient of early treatment of herpes zoster.
