The electrochemical treatment of CI Direct Red 81 and CI Direct Black 36 solutions using platinum and mercury electrodes was investigated. Additionally, the electrochemical oxidation at the titanium electrode coated with TiO 2 /RuO 2 was studied. The optimal electrochemical parameters applied for photoelectrochemical oxidation increased the effectiveness of the dyes’ decolorisation and mineralisation.
