A new species of bovid was discovered recently in Vietnam and Cambodia. At present, only the horns have been collected. A general description of the animal has been given by local hunters. The animal has been known since 1929 but was wrongly classified as an immature female kouprey ( Box sauveli ). Information gathered so far is incomplete but the bovid has been named Pseudonovibos spiralis , Peter Feiler, 1994a.
