Summary The rare juno Iris narynensis from Central Asia is illustrated. A full description of the species is provided, its taxonomy and possible relationships are discussed and cultivation requirements in the U.K. given, based on experience gained at Kew. The latest thinking regarding the evolutionary position of the junos within genus Iris L. is summarised – the results of molecular research carried out at Kew in recent years.
