Having praised Noble’s article highly in my Editorial Board feedback sheet, I received a faxed request to justify that praise. The fact that Noble’s piece might improve the presentation of articles from the authors who read it was not my prime concern. After all, most editors can take care of themselves. What attracted me to the article was its message about style and presentation. These ideas should be applied to the production of all educational materials-handouts, distance/open learning materials and even internal reports.
