In the Tisbe reticulata group, T. aragoi possesses n =ll, whereas T. marmorata and T. reticulata display n=12 . In relation to other species of this genus these species are characterized by relatively small dimensions of bivalents in oocytes. The discrepancy between karyological and morphological characters is discussed.
