Abstract We encountered a 49‐year‐old, multiparous female with a very rare isolated retroperitoneal uterine leiomyoma measuring 72 × 43 mm in diameter occurring 5 years after hysterectomy for fibroids. The case was preliminarily diagnosed as right ovarian cancer or fibroma. An edematous, isolated solid tumor in the right retroperitoneal cavity was surgically resected. Pathological findings demonstrated uterine leiomyoma.
