To investigate whether childhood lifestyle affects coronary risk factors and progression of preclinical atherosclerosis in the elderly, we surveyed second generation Japanese–‐American men (JA) who were educated in Japan for more than 10 years during childhood and still use Japanese language more than English (Kibei, n = 256) and JA born and raised in US (non‐Kibei, n = 157).
