Summary CD30 protein expression was initially considered a reliable marker for the identification of CD30‐positive cutaneous lymphoproliferative disorders. Subsequently, CD30 expression has also been found in cutaneous pseudolymphoma and increasing numbers of cutaneous non‐neoplastic inflammatory disorders. This paper describes two cases of superficial fungal infection of the skin that demonstrate prominent expression of CD30 within the dermal inflammatory infiltrates. This is the first report of CD30 expression associated with superficial cutaneous fungal infections.
