Posaconazole as first line treatment for disseminated zygomycosis

Summary We describe the first case report of posaconazole use as first line agent in the treatment of disseminated zygomycosis with prosthetic hip joint and pulmonary involvement due to Rhizopus microsporus . This infection occurred in a heavily immunosuppressed patient with systemic lupus erythematosus.
