Zusammanfassung Die Autoren haben nachgewiesen, daß die komplexe Mykotoxikose, die man als Vulvovaginitis und Oestrogenismus bei den Schweinen in Jugoslawien seit 1963 beobachten konnte, durch Zearalenon, das F‐2 Toxin von Fusarium graminearum und Fusarium moniliforme verursacht wurde. Das Toxin wurde chromatographisch und spektroskopisch, und dessen Wirkungen am Ratten‐Uterus nachgewiesen. Summary It was shown that the complex mycotoxicosis consisting of vulvovaginitis and oestrogenism and observed in Yugoslavia since 1963 is caused by zearalenone, the F‐2 toxin of Fusarium graminearum and Fusarium moniliforme. The toxin was demonstrated by chromatography and spectroscopy, its effects on the uterus of rats were studied.
