Summary The Development of the Bovine Stomach, a Morphological and Morphometrical Analysis, Part I Forty two embryos and fetuses of Frisian cattle, distributed onto 14 groups on the basis of crown‐rump lengths between 1.3cm (about 23 days) and 9.5cm (70 days), were used to study the morphogenesis of the bovine stomach. The work is divided into three parts. Part 1 deals with the ruminoreticulum and parts II and III the omasum and abomasum.
