SUMMARY In Petunia hybrida age of the plant, temperatures during the vegetative growth and derivation of the plants from summer‐ or wintercuttings, determine the immunoelectrophoretic patterns of protein in pollen and styles. The total amount of protein is higher in pollen developed under a higher temperature regime. The quantity of lipids is higher in styles developed under a lower temperature regime.
