Polyoma virus‐associated progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy after renal transplantation: Regression following withdrawal of mycophenolate mofetil. Pediatr Transplantation 2011: 15:E19–E24. © 2010 John Wiley & Sons A/S. Abstract:  The 2008‐released FDA safety report described a potential association between use of MMF and progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy. We here report the case of an 11‐yr‐old kidney transplanted boy suffering from PML who showed rapid improvement parallel to withdrawal of MMF. This case contributes to the increasing knowledge on side effects of MMF treatment in children.
