The present experiments (carried out in rabbits) have demonstrated that antibodies directed against new antigenic determinants introduced in rabbit serum albumin (RSA) through the coupling with sulfanilic acid (Sulf) were able to enhance (or‘help’) a primary antibody response to Sulf 11 RSA. This enhancement phenomenon was shown to be specific for Sulf‐carrier conjugates.
