The arborists are expected to evaluate a tree failure probability, but there is a lack of well-founded methods to take a good decision (Bond, Sankowich and Luley, 2013). The correct method to determine a structural resistance of a tree or its part is the structural analysis, involving a computational model building, defining a load actuating on the tree structure, and material properties of a trunk and branches.
