Summary. An assessment in vitro of the sealing properties of a calcium hydroxide based root canal sealer was compared with that of a zinc oxide‐eugenol based sealer. Electrochemical analysis of the leakage patterns revealed that both sealers exhibited leakage, with the calcium hydroxide sealer showing a stabilized or decreased pattern of leakage over time.
