SUMMARY Electron beam therapy was used to treat twenty‐nine patients with squamous or basal cell carcinomas considered unsuitable for surgery or conventional superficial X‐ray therapy. Primary control failed in two patients at 2 and 5 years. Good cosmetic and functional results occurred in all patients treated. The advantages of this therapy in the management of cutaneous tumours which are difficult to treat are discussed.
