SUMMARY.— Three patients with a history of cold urticaria and with negative reactions to ice are reported. In 1 patient, local application of cold water reproduced the urticaria, but in the 2 others, body cooling was also required to evoke a reaction. It is suggested that central factors rather than skin temperature alone play a major role in these cases.
