This paper deals with the flow of heat through molten glass and through glass retaining clay walls. Reference is given to previous work on heat flow by convection, radiation and conduction as applied to clay refractorise. Experimental data are given for conductivity of flux block , and for the effective conductivity of molten glass as a function of temperature. Photographs are presented to show existence of convection currents in a glass tank .
