ABSTRACT Safety and reliability have been the main emphasis when developing our system for home daily dialysis. The AK 95 is part of a comprehensive system of appropriate products consisting additionally of a silent water treatment module, an ultrafilter, and a range of dry disposables for dialysis fluid preparation and disinfection. The dialyzer can be selected from a family of synthetic, biocompatible filters, both low and high flux. To complete the system, a modern data management tool for online or off‐line surveillance and multilingual training manuals in both conventional format as well as animated software are available.
