Abstract Exposure to environmentally relevant doses of ozone induces oxidative stress and is associated with adverse effects at tissue level. Delineating the role of sirtuin3, involved in cellular energy homoeostasis, in the response of skin to ozone can be a step towards developing prevention strategies against cutaneous pathologies.
