Yindonggou Copper Ore Deposit is a small-sized VMStype Cu (Zn) deposit, which is located about 33 km from the famous Baiyin Ore Field in the northeast. The ore deposit lies in the Volcanic Rocks of the eastern section of the North Qilian Ordovician Yingou Group, with orehosted volcanic rock mainly composed of spilite. At present, it’s thought that not only the metallogenic materials in the VMS-type ore deposits come from magma, but seawater’s eluviation to the ore-hosted volcanic rock also play an important role in the formation of ore deposits. Therefore, to determine the nature, source area and the environment of the ore-hosted volcanic rocks are important to make sure the ore-forming material source and mineralization tectonic setting of VMS-type deposit.
