This paper introduces the Synthetic CCS–MRV Dataset (SCCS-OFPOSDU), the first publicly available synthetic dataset designed to support Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) workflows. The dataset simulates the capture–transport–injection–storage–monitoring chain, providing daily, monthly, and annual records for synthetic facilities across multiple reservoir types. It is explicitly mapped to the Open Footprint (OFP) emissions model and Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU) schemas, enabling standards–based interoperability and ESG reporting validation. All records are generated using reproducible, open-source Python workflows, with quality checks for mass balance, reservoir–recycling rules, and leak event logic. The dataset facilitates CCS MRV system prototyping, schema alignment testing, teaching, and benchmarking.
